Summary
Geralt is a cryptid lore expert trying to write his first book, struggling through insecurities and unfamiliar territory with the help of his editor Regis and his illustrator Dettlaff. Meanwhile, he's navigating two other difficult situations: a messy co-parents with benefits relationship with his adopted daughter Ciri's biological father Emhyr, and the slightly more than professional attachment he's developing to long-term couple Dettlaff and Regis. The monsters he writes about are far from the scariest things Geralt deals with while trying to finish his book and make Ciri proud.

Summary
Geralt moved to a small seaside town as a recently divorced empty-nester trying to start over. His new life as an alchemist and herbalist is the idyllic life he's always wanted, until suddenly it isn't. Geralt finds himself battling a mysterious potion-related illness while developing relationships with the local barber and toy shop owner, and hoping he can figure out what's wrong with him and fix it before it ruins everything: his small business, his fresh start, and whatever is happening between him and Regis and Dettlaff.

Meanwhile, Geralt and Emhyr are struggling to keep their marriage from breaking under the pressure of duty to the Empire, future Empress Ciri is more involved in her fathers' messes than she'd like to be, and the Imperial Court of Nilfgaard is enjoying the drama.
