Summary
Sangwon thought he had mastered his hunger. He caged his serpent, buried it beneath the earth, and let a tree grow from his penance.
But Lilith is patient, and when she sends Zhou Anxin—a boy of warmth and laughter—the serpent remembers its master.
All it takes is one bite for blood to bloom, the storm to rise, and Sangwon to remember what kind of creature he truly is.

“Wait,” Sangwon whispers. “Don’t kiss me.”
Anxin’s lips freeze under his fingers. “Why not?”
The question is faint but still enough to stick uncomfortably to his heated skin. Sangwon wants nothing more than to scrape it off with his teeth and force it back into Anxin’s mouth—such a shame that some medieval lunatic invented principles.
“Because kissing is for lovers,” he mumbles and hopes at least one of them will believe it. “And we are not lovers.”
Or: why having sex on video call with a stranger is a bad idea—especially if said stranger is not actually a stranger.
