Summary
"He was supposed to turn to his right. And Gina wasn’t supposed to turn at all. Maybe she was just curious, about who he would choose. Or maybe she knew, deep down, that it was her, it was always her. That, in that moment, he’d choose to be painfully, ridiculously, honest with himself, for the first time in months. Maybe that’s why she didn’t pull away when he leaned in, before Carlos could even pronounce the second syllable in his name, to gently press her lips to his."
One question asked during a game of Truth or Dare at summer camp breaks up the entire East High theater gang. If only Ricky Bowen had kissed the right girl…
Inspired by the scene where Patrick asks Charlie to kiss the prettiest girl in the room in The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

Summary
"Gina, to his surprise, looks up at him, for just a second, her lips parted, before turning back to Red. Ricky’s breath is completely gone. “He’s not my boyfriend,” she says finally, with the sureness of someone who knows something to be fact. It’s Carlos who redirects the room to more pressing conversation, everyone moving on from the question of him and Gina in the air. But Ricky can’t help but replay Red and Gina’s words in his head. Can’t help but think his own: And what if I was?"
Prequel to the folklore rina series - entirely from Ricky's POV. Spanning from Ricky's junior year to the summer before Gina leaves Salt Lake for good.

In which Gina, while returning to Salt Lake for Mike Bowen’s wedding, sets things straight with Ricky, once and for all. The final installment of the Cardigan-August-Betty folklore series.

Summary
He pretended to notice they’d never fallen. Worked like a charm. Gina was a nice one. She broke away from whoever she was talking to, to pick them up, to call back the stranger who was about to leave their headphones on the ground and probably never see them again. “Hey, you dropped your—” And he turned around, and she saw him. “Ricky.”
He couldn’t read at all the expression on her face. But he smiled at her, his lungs barely holding onto air. “Gina?”
In which Ricky, while spending the summer in New York, falls for Gina all over again.

Summary
“I hope this one fits better than the hat,” she’d practiced telling him in the mirror. Maybe she’d pull him aside right before the clock struck midnight, and slide the cardigan over his shoulders. And he’d pick her up, and swing her around, just like he did the day they saved Miss Jenn’s job in the cafeteria. He’d tell her how terrified he was opening night, when he thought she was telling him goodbye for good. Instead, when he walked in that night, hand-in-hand with Nini Salazar Roberts, Gina pushed all thoughts of pulling him aside away."
In which Gina Porter, while packing for college, stumbles upon a gift she gave up on. Spanning her sophomore winter to the summer before she leaves Salt Lake for good.

Summary
"But there she was. Her hair slicked back into two fluffy braids, one of her knees resting casually on top of a silver carry-on. Ricky couldn’t help but notice how many stamps it was covered in. 15 times she’d moved, he’d remembered. It could’ve been 16. But the one time she stayed, he had to be the one to mess it up."
In which Ricky, after an eye-opening talk with his mom, comes back from Chicago and sees Gina saying goodbye to Jack at the airport. Then he musters up the courage to go up to her. Then EJ comes along. So what's his game plan gonna be now?
