His body was moving on its own as he bolted up a stack of crates, finding himself running up across the rooves and realizing that he didn’t quite know where he was going. Lightheaded as he was, he realized he wasn’t in control of his own two feet as he leapt across another canal—safely this time. But as he ran, roof to roof by muscle memory alone, it dawned on him too slowly.
Oh. Leonardo. I am going to Leonardo.
His mind went grey and quiet as he pushed back the pain, only realizing he had arrived as he pushed through the shutters of the workshop’s upper floor, tumbling to the ground.

He swallows it down and watches as Draco does the same, and something uncomfortably close to understanding passes between them."
Now in their eighth year at Hogwarts, traumatized and exhausted and trying to recover from the horrors of the war, Harry and Draco don't know what to do with the fact that they are no longer quite enemies. It's impossible that they might become friends, and yet, there's something there that refuses to die.
