Sigma hums lazily as he cleans the blood from his hands. Nikolai knows he’s been taking bigger and bigger pieces of information with his ability since they left Yokohama. Nakahara was the beginning of the end for Sigma, every question after that not being one which filters information but one that encompasses everything.

Idly, Nikolai wonders how much more information Sigma can stuff in his head before he starts to get squeezed out bit by bit. More importantly, he wonders who will take over when every piece of Sigma has been chipped away by someone else. Will it be Fedya? Or will it be Dazai? Perhaps Nakahara and him will share the same skin?
Either way, when it happens, Nikolai will be there to unwind the fibers of his being and weave him back into something better than before.

Fyodor dies in front of Nikolai who out of grief and fear of loneliness (not like he would admit that) takes Sigma with himself.
The Agency takes care of the Mersault and Fyodor aftermath, but Sigma is in coma for way too long - and when he wakes up, he confronts a civilian Nikolai about his decision: he wants to join the Agency.ABANDONED for now, see the last chapter's notes.

Without it, they are nothing. It will become nothing now, they will become nothing, and it will have all been for nothing. Those years being used, all the crimes they helped commit, all the blood sweat and tears-
Nothing.
Sigma came from nothing, and now they will return to nothing.
It must be what they deserve.
Sigma doesn’t close their eyes. Perhaps it’s selfish, but they’d like the casino to be the last thing they see. Even if they failed to save it, they should face their failure until the end.
