Summary
When Chat Noir finds Marinette crying on her balcony, he’s immediately there for her.
Marinette has been left alone to deal with the stress and trauma her life as ladybug has given her, and Marinette develops severe depression and anxiety, with none of her friends have any idea what goes on in her mind.
But with Chat, all of that changes. When he holds her, she feels ok, whole. And so he keeps coming, every night, and is there for her in any way she needs. Whether it’s watching movies until 3am or holding her as she cries, he’s always there. As Adrien, he does his best to be there for Marinette and show her she really does have a friend.
And then feelings get involved, and suddenly everything is even more confusing, on top of both of their issues.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng had been told since she was a child by her Italian grandmother that she was to be betrothed to Luka Couffaine whether she liked it or not. She was a Mafia Principessa, and it was just the way it was. Luka Couffaine’s family had an abundance of power that her family organization needed to rise up in the ranks. It didn’t matter if her heart was involved or not. There was no love for a Boss’s daughter.
Her mother, Sabine, had a little more care for how she felt towards Luka but not enough to go against her father, Tom. They argued often about what was best for Marinette, but there was little her spitfire of a mother could do. So, Marinette had settled for the life that she had been granted: a loveless marriage to one of the most influential Mafia families in Paris.
She shouldn’t be surprised when a text from an unknown number graced her phone. Not when she knew the man behind it.
