“I know what you're about to say,” Rukia says flatly.
“What is it then?” Ichigo turns his nose up at her.
“You want to move to Soul Society, but you should stay and live out a human life.” Rukia replies as if they’ve had this argument a billion times before. Which. They haven’t. This is the first time Ichigo has brought it up to her. Hell, it’s the first time Ichigo has brought it up with anyone.

Ichigo and friends celebrate their high school graduation together peacefully until it's crashed by pain-in-the-ass Shinigami (who invited them?). He thinks about the future somewhat and also pines a little (a lot). Growing up is hard.
