Summary
No one, it turns out, really knows one another.
(OR: all it takes is a summer-long holiday in Italy, James Potter's teetering mental stability, a secret relationship, friends with benefits, Marlene’s secret, and enough stupidity and insecurity to go around for everything to come crashing down around them.)

“We’re alone now,”
“Sirius,” Remus means it as a warning, but his relieved expression and the way his shoulders slump is enough to deem him not intimidating in the slightest. “We’re in the library.”
I am a firm believer that Remus moans every time him and Sirius kiss.

Summary
James smiles at Regulus, already seated when he walks in, already with two steaming cups of coffee. Regulus smiles back and thinks about how the only thing he has left to look forward to these days is a monthly information drop with his ex-boyfriend and a drink that he hates. He’s living a charmed life, that’s for sure.
A story about coming back.

Summary
Complete! <3 (Edits made Feb 2024, bonus story added August 2024)
The Black family and the Potter family grew-up spending their summers at neighboring lake houses a few hours off the East Coast. Then one summer, James Potter stopped coming. Regulus can admit he was a little disappointed when his first crush suddenly disappeared from his life. But it's been seven years. He's clearly over it.
That is until his last summer before starting college, when that same golden-skinned boy steps out of the car, grown and beautiful, and crashes back into Regulus' world.
Some works that inspired this fic:
-The entire Lover album by Taylor Swift (Specifically Cruel Summer and Daylight)
-The novel Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
-The Summer I Turned Pretty Series
-The song Lakehouse by Of Monsters and Men
