    I’ve always felt Maddy was such a strong partner for Jonathan. But they both also had a lot to learn and work out, in different ways. Also, since then, a lot has happened and a lot of years have passed. Instead of choosing that those years never happened, I put the clock somewhere between 2016 and 2023, so they are now in their 50’s. (weird huh?)

    You’ll see how I have imagined their lives went on, but I am bringing Maddy home and with good reason. And won’t you know it, there just might be a case around the corner, that she could use a little help with…

    It did not sit well with me, that the book described their marriage as "his reward" and suggested that she didn't fully desire it until after some time. So this is sort of a fix-it.

    1986 was a hard year for Metallica. They lost a borther in September, and were still trying to accept the Cliff-shaped hole in their lives while the quest for finding a new bassist asap continued.
    Jason Newsted, formerly of Flotsam & Jetsam knew that joining the biggest monster of a metal band was going to be though, but he was not prepared for things to be so fucked up. Luckily, there is at least one person in the crew who happen to like him. Her name is Emilia Campbell, she lives at the MetalliMansion with Kirk, James and Lars and she also happens to be his bass roadie.

    The two never could have guessed that the tragic accident which almost ended Metallica would eventually change their lives for the better.
