Summary
This story takes place in the present, and through memories and flashbacks, the past. The final battle takes place in full view of the public, across the city, and is brutal. Brutal, not only for the heroes but also for many of Paris’s citizens. Lives are lost, the city is in pain, and the past still haunts many, including and especially one of our heroes. Throughout the story, the battle is revisited, and pain, emotional and physical is woven throughout.
Hawk Moth's reign has ended, killed by his own akuma. All it cost was the lives of over 200 men, women, and children, and one of Paris's heroes. Ladybug, Hero of Paris, had died with Hawk Moth. In that one final battle, Adrien Agreste (Chat Noir) lost the love of his life, his best friend, most of the friends in his class at school, his father, his ignorance of who his father was, and was holding on to his sanity and will to live by little more than a hair. So when he is faced with a reoccurrence of run-ins with his dead girlfriend and partner after many months of quiet, he is forced to re-evaluate the reality of his visions.

It feels like she just gained consciousness after being asleep for millennia. She barely even registers that Hawkmoth is charging her. “I wish,” she pauses, locking eyes with the man who ruined her life, “for a second chance.”
Suddenly she is back in her room. Not just that, she’s 15 again. Back in the day this whole mess started. She is just a few hours away from meeting Tikki again. And this time, she will save Paris. She will save her friends. She knows what’s coming this time.
