    In the middle of the yard stood Firelord Seonghwa, his back turned to Hongjoong, a wooden staff in his hands. He seemed to be practising forms, his movements strong but steady. He wasn’t firebending, but it was undeniable that power flowed through his veins. Firelord Seonghwa moved fluidly, the flow of the forms so graceful that it was mesmerising.

    Hongjoong couldn’t look away.

    It was at that moment that the Firelord turned around, and his gaze immediately settled on Hongjoong. He took a step back, surprise taking over his features. Hongjoong —realising that he had, one, disrupted the other’s privacy, and two, been caught staring— went red from head to toe.
