    Jinx looked over at him, at the way he was crouching to gently pull a scrap of wire out of Isha’s fingers before she broke it—or herself. His voice was soft when he explained what it did, fingers brushing hers as he showed her the switch mechanism. The girl nodded seriously, enthralled.

    Something twisted and loosened all at once in her chest.

    “You really don’t do things halfway,” she said, a little too quiet, a little too honest.

    Ekko glanced over at her and gave a crooked smile. “Not with you.”

    A chance meeting in a derelict attic.
    Accidental at first. Then deliberate.
    Neutral ground — until it isn’t.

    OR

    Sometime shortly before season 1 episode 4, Jinx and Ekko start meeting up in a ruined attic. On opposite sides of a war, their meetings are fragile and tense, but something keeps pulling them back — to the dust, the silence, the quiet space between past and future, where nothing is said and everything matters.

    "She had cut her braids. He hair fell loose on her shoulders, softening her features to an unbearable degree. Fate had a cruel sense of humor. More than ever, she looked like the girl he had left behind.
    Ekko stared, ready to rewind time again. He would continue to do so for as long as he needed. He would deal with the picture of her falling from the platform later, or better yet : forget it entirely. All that mattered now was her."

    With Noxus on its way to wage war against the sister cities, it's up to Jinx and Ekko to rally the Undercity together and get ready to join the fight. But there is so much to do, so little time. And yet... maybe, among the chaos of the oncoming storm, they'll find the time and will to pick up the pieces of what they once were. Maybe they can put them back together.
    Maybe they can build something new.
    Hope is a winged beast, and now is the time to learn how to fly.

    Or : what happened during the timeskip between Jinx's rescue at the beginning of episode 9, and her arrival on the battlefield? My guess is a whole lot.
