gabriel is an english student too haunted by his superstitions at night to be able to sleep. subsequently, he is failing at everything he needs to do while the sun is up. however, during his long nights out studying the undead, he is visited by a strange person to keep him company. his fate unfolds before he can catch up with it, and he must choose between letting this apparition drain him of his lifeblood, and bringing it to feed on the townspeople he grew up among.
