Summary
My fanfic takes place in a parallel world to the Xadia we know from the show. In my fic, the world is a little more toughter and Viren was never able to escape and has been wasting away in a Katolis dungeon for over two years. Most importantly in this fanfic, Callum and Rayla were never able to figure out their relationship in season 3. Callum was a bit too shy to say exactly what he needed to say to Rayla in the Midnight Desert and they never found the right moment to seal the deal. (*Although there was another moment which I talk about briefly in my note at the end of this chapter).
All that awkward teenage angst has been building up for two excruciating years. Which is where we join Rayla and Callum in my story. Rayla finally has a lead on her missing parents and travels to visit a mysterious relative in the Sunfire Kingdom. She asks her best friend Callum to join her knowing the young mage wants to expand his knowledge of primal magic.
