He was living beyond first round; beyond finalist. So reaching for more… it was greedy.
It felt like he was standing on the very tip of a mountain, and leaning up to try and wrap his hand around the moon. He’d ignore the feeling of vertigo in his stomach as he’d lean farther and farther out, standing on his tiptoes, not quite able to touch it. Then a rock would shift; his foot would slip; and he’d end up crumpled and bleeding on the ground.
Or:
Mitsuki's in love with Riku, but doesn't have a chance with him, and even if he did, he wouldn't take it.
Riku's in love with Mitsuki and he feels like he's going to explode about it.

Summary
He knew Iori wouldn’t say no to him, but that didn’t stop him from feeling nervous about asking. Even though he had no reason to be nervous. It wasn’t anything outrageous or crazy, and compared to their other bedroom activities, this request was miniscule at best. He shouldn’t overthink it. But, maybe Iori wouldn’t be that into it.
