Izuku steps towards the other teen, holding his hand out to shake, “I’m Midoriya Izuku by the way. We haven’t officially met yet, right? I don’t remember seeing you at the Entrance Exam?”
The blue-haired boy pauses, studies his hand uncertainly before shrugging. “Shirakumo Oboro,” he introduces in return, hand phasing right through Izuku’s when he goes to return the handshake. Shirakumo doesn’t seem surprised by it, but Izuku whips his hand back when the intense chill climbs up his arm.

I CAME BACK TO IT NAHH - analysis;
Writerllofllworlds, the author, is a literate genius, and this is an indisputable fact. I especially admire how they're able to link things back together. E.g. Izuku telling Hitoshi what the flowers he coughed up meant, and then him giving Katsuki one at the end. He was telling him in his own way, "I forgive you" - to forgive himself, and for Katsuki to forgive himself. Literally broke my heart in a bazillion pieces when I realised 💔
In that way it's bittersweet, because we know it's not Katsuki's fault either. We know it's all out of his control and yet we can't help but blame him, and that's because our dear author uses pathetic fallacy exceptionally well. The way in which we know what Izuku is going through, but Katsuki doesn't, and he thinks and says all these utterly clueless, oblivious things that we know are breaking Izuku's heart piece by piece - worsening his hanahaki day by day.
I'm sure I'll be back here in another couple of months and realise even more things that I love about this fic, because it's really such a masterpiece and I will always love it.
