Summary
It's a self insert fic. You know the drill.
Featuring a grumpy protagonist who wants mochi, clean socks, and to maintain possession of their life and eyeballs in that order, a troll-dad sensei who's genuinely trying to understand the pint sized weirdos he's been saddled with but isn't sure where to start, and two team mates who are honest to god twelve year olds who canonically didn't mature until after the handy dandy time skip.

Dazai had always been a bit of a mysterious asshole to Chuuya, but that didn't stop him from considering Dazai one of the most important people of his life. Regardless of how low the other might fall, Chuuya will be there to pick him up, just like he knows Dazai would be there for him.
He still wishes he could do more whenever he saw such empty eyes in the face of his partner.
Or
Chuuya tries to pick up the shards of what Kouyou had ignored and help Dazai, all while not knowing how or why the other had fall into such lows.
(Part 1 of the series isn't obligatory for understanding, but it will give a bit of context on the relationship between Kouyo and Dazai)

Summary
“Killing yourself on a day like this?” Chuuya’s voice rang out, something faintly morose lining his tone. “I thought you wanted your death to be beautiful.”
“I do,” he replied. “This is beautiful. Chuuya is too narrow-minded. He should broaden his perspectives.”
A study on Dazai through the years, focusing on the unwavering persistence of his depression.
