Summary
Harry’s avoiding Dumbledore’s portrait like the plague. Draco Malfoy is sleeping less than ten feet from Harry and refuses to stop flirting with him. Charlie Weasley is seeming less and less like a brother every day and Harry doesn’t know how to break that to Ron, who is most definitely onto him. And on top of all of that, grief is a bitch that seems to have it out for everyone at the worst possible times.
Harry was stupid to think he could have a normal year at Hogwarts, even without Voldemort messing about his head.

Summary
Harry was hoping to stay at the Leaky Cauldron until school started. Did he get what he wanted? No. Instead he receives a letter and everything changes. He uncovers truths buried deep in an old man's plan. He finds friends in the oddest of places.
His name carries a burden he can't rid himself of, but at least he has Hedwig and this dog he found. Until he doesn't and everything turns to shit.
His summer has turned into a trial of faith, trust, power plays and nightmares. Will he even make it to school?
Disclaimer: This is on Hiatus because people can be mean. I am writing a new story to help me keep writing...I have not forgotten about this! Summary
To say Draco Malfoy spent time thinking about Harry Potter was probably an understatement at this point. His friends knew it, he knew it.
Draco had hoped that joining Lockhart’s dueling club would appease his father, and impress Potter. It didn’t go exactly as planned on either front, but that was besides the point.
Draco had learned a lot during that duel, that he was horribly under qualified to defend himself, and that Potter was made of fire. Since then, everything else in his life had been white noise, all he focused on was Harry. And the thing is, he noticed.
He noticed the way he flinched when someone dropped a plate or set a serving spoon down too hard.
He noticed that when the Weasel would wrap an arm around him and his entire body went rigid.
He had no idea how all of their lives would change when he decided to do something to help-- when it turned out that Potter was more of a Slytherin than anyone thought.
