His life had been turned upside down, and a shock went through his body that was forceful enough to make him jerk forward.

He righted himself into a proper standing position, ran a sleepy hand through his unruly morning curls, and the words seemed to spill from his mouth all on their own.
"Whizzer Brown, you're going to kill me."

Summary
“Jason? What are you still doing up?” Emmett asked, beginning to pace down the corridor. Another student walked past with a pile of laundry, scowling at him. He smiled as apologetically as he could.
“You need to come home.”
“What?” Emmett froze, tucking himself into a corner.
“You need to come home.” Jason insisted, but he didn’t sound cross. Instead his voice sounded crackly, and it took Emmett a moment to realise he was trying not to cry.
“Slow down. Jason, I need you to slow down.” Emmett bent slightly, hunching over as if that could somehow help him slip down through the phone and towards Jason.
“Dad hit Mom.”
“… he what?”
Jason is traumatised by the events of Marvin Hits Trina, and calls the only person capable of putting his family back together: his big brother Emmett.
Set after Marvin Hits Trina and Chip On My Shoulder respectively.

They really weren’t joking about these being skinny fit, he thought as he tried to wriggle the offending article higher over his hips. They budged a little, but any attempts to button them resulted only in breathlessness and a mild stomach ache. Glancing down, he sighed, lying a hand across his middle. It was easier to blame the cut, or the company, or any other excuse rather than look in the mirror and see the truth.
He’d gotten chubby. Again.

Summary
Marvin hates Whizzer Brown, Jason's new baseball coach at school, and the feeling is pretty mutual. However, he also hates his tight-knit family thinking that he's doomed to be a sad, single loser for the rest of his life. So when he insists on bringing a plus one to the lesbians' destination wedding in Greece, the fact that he isn't actually dating anyone at the moment poses a bit of a problem. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't get out much and there's only one other gay man he knows.... a certain very obnoxious, insufferable, and very attractive little league coach...
