“Doctor, I need your help.” She says it so quickly she barely realises the words are coming out before she has time to slow down.
The Doctor stands up, his face falling slightly. “Everything alright?”
“There was—” Her hands ball into fists at her sides. “You never told me you had a greenhouse.”
“I get curious sometimes. Pick up something from a plant shop, see if I can have a crack at it.” He takes a few steps towards her. “Why, d’you—did something happen?”
She hesitates, and his concern is quick to take over his features. He steps towards her, three short lines forming between his brows as he creases them. “Martha.”
“I’m sorry—it’s not particularly—” She cuts herself off as he puts his hands on her shoulders, perhaps meant to comfort her, but all she feels is the shape of his fingers, every angle and curve, searing themselves into her skin. “Don’t touch me, please, you’re making it worse.”
After coming across a mysterious flower in the TARDIS greenhouse, Martha finds herself with a very strange affliction.
