Kim Seokjin was pretty sure he only had a crush on Kim Namjoon, but crushes actually develops into something else, whats worse is that it can actually become a deadly disease.
canon divergence - canon fusion + world with hanahaki
Seokjin isn't out, and he isn't open about his feelings for NJ (perhaps he's delusional and downplayed the depths of his feelings)
But! He contracts a strange new disease, hanahaki (or option for author to make it a preexisting disease well-known in this universe) and has to finally confront his feeling + gain the courage to come out.
