“Haruna…”
The fever was getting to his ears. The stuffiness of the room left him with little choice but to breathe and re-breathe the same air, over and over again. The tart sweetness of liquor… and the saline, flowery scent of the student twirling her tongue around the mouth of the bottle.
“I won’t tell if you don’t, Sensei.”
Taking an elegant sip from the bottle, she placed it on the table and slid it towards him. The glass still glistened with her sweat, and Sensei could pay attention to little else — save the piercing red of her eyes — as he picked it up.
“This will be our little secret, then?”
He wasn’t as dense as Haruna might have liked him to be, and, fortunately for her, he wasn’t as innocent, either.
“Of course.”
