The stars glared at him tonight, in the vast canvas of the sky they blinked and unblinked, showering sparks of light into his vision. Peculiar creatures they were, gliding across the heavens, looking down upon carcasses of humans like him.The boy lifted the rim of the bottle and took a long, cold swig. He imagined that if the stars were to ever take human form, they would look like her. Her long black locks and crimson glow were a testament to all that was real in this world.
