JJ’s head snaps up. She studies him, eyebrows pulling together in concern. “Spence…? You okay?”
He flinches at the nickname. He can't even pretend anymore. His hand is already in his pocket, closing around his phone like it's the only solid thing in the room.
“I— uh…” He swallows, “I need to make a call.”
Or: Spencer and Sam are Stanford exes who haven't spoken in years, until a certain case that doesn't sit well with the Doctor leads them back to each other.

Straight A's, in every extracurricular you can imagine, curfew 9pm—sports. So, so many sports. He's a junior. Sixteen, the age where your parents still baby you if you make mistakes.
And he's bored. In every friend group he's the innocent one, the one who hasn't had their first kiss, gotten drunk, or been in a relationship. He wishes he could grab his freshmen year self and shake him by the shoulders—tell him how quickly it all goes by.
He can't let this be his high-school experience. He needs something, he can't go into the world this unexperienced.

Bruce opens the stall just in time to see Vance's abs flex as he fixes his shirt.
His vision focuses, then immediately goes back blurry.
“Let's hope I won't have to chase you down for my clothes again.” Bruce's mind shut off approximately 10 seconds ago. “Uh… yeah. Yeah.”
★ 5 times (and a half) Bruce ended up wearing his bestfriend's older brother clothes, and the 1 time he almost gave them back!
