I got the dl brainworms a little while ago and decided Pearl deserved more time to reflect on her experiences and feelings at the end of the series, so I ended up writing this little ficlet to explore that idea. This was actually meant to be a draft for a longer fic, but I decided I liked it enough to tidy it up and post it as is. Just had to get this one out of my brain yknow, so here it is :)

I just wanted an excuse to put Anh and Alestes in a fight scene tbh. Their banter in episode 2 is SO GOOD and I thought it'd be fun to give writing it a go myself :)
