“You’re nothing like Theseus,” the blackguard said to Asterius. “Why go along with everything he says and does? You’re your own man. And bull.”
Theseus nearly lunged out of the stands. Of course Asterius was his own man-and-bull! This foul daemon, presuming to have even the faintest understanding of the nature of their bond—
Asterius was nothing like Theseus. And he was infinitely better for it.
“King Theseus slew me in life, and saved me in death,” said Asterius, evenly. “I was cast into Erebus. A monster. He found me when he died. And used his influence to bring me here, with him.”
“That’s nice of him and all, but sounds like you’re even to me.” Was the daemon’s voice more grating than usual? Or was it just Theseus’ phantasmagorical blood rushing in his ears? “Seeing as he killed you in the first place.”
Theseus desperately wanted to hear Asterius’ response. But he feared knowing Asterius’ reply even more. Before he could think better of it, Theseus jumped to his feet and rushed out of the chamber.
Theseus deals poorly with Asterius' burgeoning respect for his hated opponent.

Summary
Asterius wasn’t sure why his half-sister’s ex kept coming to his gym and tagging him in workout pictures afterwards, but he wasn’t complaining; it helped him keep track of their shared workouts.
It was a little weird that these pictures were all of Theseus shirtless and sweaty, but that was how good workouts usually ended.
