He feels a little stupid when he orders fairy lights off the internet, but considering the soft, endeared smile gracing Magnus’ face when he’d laid eyes on the balcony, decked out for a nighttime picnic, Alec thinks it was more than worth it. Anyway, Magnus is another year older now, hovering somewhere past seven hundred and forty, give or take two hundred years. He and Alec are hosting their third Christmas celebration together, and something feels distinctly different this time.

Summary
Magnus huffs a little and gives Alec a look, feeling fond and annoyed in the same breath. “Shh. It -- I’ve been thinking… there’s something we really should have had a real discussion on, but with the pending apocalypse and all that, I suppose we put it to the side.”
The easy expression on Alec’s face disappears, and his eyes are focused as he sits up properly and sets his phone on the mattress. “You mean before we got married?” He twists in Magnus’ direction. “Magnus, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong. Nothing’s wrong now exactly, but it --” Magnus sighs, and lifts his hand up to twist at his earcuff, only to recall too late that it’s off. “It’s about children.”

To his unbridled horror, Wei Wuxian sees his face up on the giant screen in real time for the entire stadium to see. Still laughing as his face takes a moment to catch up with the sheer mortification he’s feeling, A-Yuan perched on his shoulders as the Lan Wangji cape drapes over them.
There’s also commentary.
“—scenes from the stands here, this dad and his son making for an adorable twosome all decked out in support for local hero Lan Wangji—”
“—Speaking of, our man seems to have taken a little tumble—”
Wei Wuxian finds Lan Wangji on the field. The ball is nowhere near him but he seems to have fallen inexplicably backwards, sitting on the grass as he looks up at the giant screen.
Right up at the footage of him.
(AU where A-Yuan is professional footballer Lan Wangji's biggest fan, and his babysitter Wei Wuxian wants nothing more than to forget his days as the photographer of their school football team, calling out to the captain from the stands just so he'd look around at him.)
