Now Esca must simply be imagining things. Before he can talk himself out of it, he takes a step forward, then another, until the ring of lantern light begins to fall on the creature.
When Esca sees human hands and feet, he nearly jumps out of his skin, but instead he stumbles forward until the light reveals a partial human form. There are arms, and legs, and a bare torso, but the broad shoulders are covered with short, dense hair and barely narrow into an immensely thick neck, atop which sits the head of a bull, complete with massive, curved horns.

Will didn’t know how it ended up like this; how he’d misread the situation so severely. It was supposed to be playful, just enough to get a rise out of Hannibal; see a little flare of emotion from him. Will got a lot more than he bargained for. Now he was splayed out in front of a bunch of men he didn’t know, being forced to strip for people other than his alpha. It was terrifying and humiliating- and all because he wanted a little more of Hannibal’s attention.
