“Do you like it here?” Childe asks, grinning widely and leaning in over the elegant table, full of Fontainian dishes. There is consommé, and coffee bavarois, and his favourite crêpes, despite the fact they probably shouldn’t be eaten together.
“I do. This is an exquisite place. I’m glad you took me there,” Zhongli replies, the gratitude clear in his voice. He tries his blubber profiterole, probably disappointed that he doesn’t know the whole history of the dish. “It was a long time since our last date.” His fingers brush Childe’s palm holding the fork, and he drops it shamelessly, focusing on the subtle touch with heavy eyelids. When he catches his breath, Zhongli seems to do the same; the knowledge is enough for them to want more.
But the dinner is nice; it’s nice to go on a date, to share simple pleasures, to eat and talk.
When Childe invited Zhongli on a date in a fancy establishment in Fontaine, he didn't consider his xiansheng to be absolutely shameless.
