Summary
Yuji’s steps were heavy as he walked the beach alone.
It’s emptier than he expects. The air was cooling, brushing his hair gently, ruffling the longer strands, blowing in his eyes. It’s cold, the kind of chill that settles into the sand and stays there. The sky is pale, dark, hazy swirls of blue, darker clouds spiral around, and the moon casts a shine on the dark water.
The blue reminds him.
