Summary
If you asked the average citizen of Remnant to describe Ruby Rose, they’d tell you she was a hero. That she was the woman who united the world, a champion of the people, a final beacon of light in a storm without end, the rallying cry that stirred hope when all seemed lost. She was everything a Huntress should be, and so much more than that.
If you asked Weiss Schnee what she believed, she’d tell you much the same, but in further detail. Ruby Rose was beautiful beyond all compare, kind beyond all measure, compassionate to a fault, and more troubled than anyone outside her team would ever know. But above all else, despite the suffering and aggression the world had thrown her way, Ruby Rose was strong enough to be gentle.
After a taxing mission escorting refugees to Vacuo stirs up traumatic memories in the tired Huntress, Weiss takes it upon herself to ensure her leader knows she isn’t alone. She won’t sit idly by and let her crumble. Not again.
It was time Weiss stopped running from her feelings, and long past time Ruby felt a gentle touch.
