"Get changed, brush your teeth, and get into bed," Viktor suggested, "and I will come and tell you a story."
"One for each of us," Naph bargained.
"Perhaps," Viktor said. "We shall see how well-behaved you are between now and the end of the first story."
Naph looked at his sister. Ama looked back at him. Some wordless communication passed between them, and then they were racing for the bathroom.

Summary
Jayce raised his glass and drank.
He could barely contain the cough that rose in his chest. The alcohol burned as it went down his throat, and he could feel the heat radiating to his head in such a way that he felt dizzy. Whatever they had served him was definitely something much stronger than the wine or champagne he had been expecting.
And that was his first mistake of the night.
Jayce calls Viktor, completely drunk, while he's on a work assignment in Ionia. It goes about as well as one would expect.
