Summary
When Jack and Mary go on a charm-bracelet kick, Cas gets ideas. One trinket turns into two, then ten, and Dean can’t say no. After Michael, they’re the only things that feel right, like slipping into a forgotten version of himself—before Hell or angels.
Soon he’s jingling, a hoard of metal hidden beneath his clothes. It’s all safely tucked away—until a post-hunt cleanup with the new Bobby. Dean strips off his bloody layers without thinking—and stops cold under the judgment of this too-familiar stranger.

Summary
Chuck was possessive of his father—loved him, wanted to become him, to keep him untouched. His stepfather was a different story: attraction tangled up with hatred and desire curdled by resentment.
But when Chuck says “yes” to God, it isn’t just consent. It comes with bells, whistles, and a whiff of brimstone. God smooths away every chip of shame and imperfection, remaking His vessel into something steely, commanding, and untouchable.

Summary
No monsters, no codependent little brother, no angels (devastatingly handsome or otherwise) — and for Dean, there never have been.
It’s a little lonely sometimes; somehow a little… existentially wrong, sure, with a past he’s still burying and a future he can’t figure out, but he’s not going to bitch about it. He can even work around the nightmares bleeding in from another world; they feel enough like his own to fit in. It’s still better than before.
Then, Chuck Shurley shows up at his dive bar. And Dean lets the monster in.
AKA
Chuck attempts to cure his own case of Dean Winchester Derangement Syndrome by creating a rom-com alternate universe— and writing himself into it as the love interest. But Chuck should know by now: AUs tend to fall into old grooves, no matter how out of tune they're played… and Dean can never seem to escape the horror genre.

Summary
There are two Dean Winchesters in hospital beds.
One, recently saved from hell, has just learned that he’s the one who jump-started the apocalypse and, because of this, he’s also the only one who can stop it.
The other, years earlier, has just learned he’s going to die.
**********
It would have been nice to have had the angel’s healing mojo in the past. But when it comes down to it, it’s not them he wishes they’d had the angels around to save. It’s everyone else—all of the people they hadn’t been able to save. Or worse, the ones that they’d damned.
In particular, he can’t stop thinking about Layla. The girl who'd had more faith than Dean could ever dream of. He was chosen to be healed when she had deserved it so much more. Before the other night, he hadn’t thought about her in years. He’s been too much of a coward to look her up because he knows what he’ll find. She’d told him she only had six months, and that time was up long ago. There’s no way she’s still around to save now.
But angels can do a hell of a lot more than just heal people. They can travel back in time too.

What if season 4 Dean and Cas time-traveled back to 1x12 Faith to save Layla?

Summary
Cas leans back into his space, sturdy. "I promise, I would not do anything that would put myself or our family in danger."
Michael throws a tantrum inside Dean someplace between his feet and the top of his head, He digs into the bars of Dean's ribs and contorts Dean's soul around His Grace. Cas sees none of this, or more likely he does, and ignores it for Dean's sake. He laughs at the absurdity of it all. "So what you said, about me still be being me. It's not true then?" Cas doesn't respond. Waves of grief wash over them, it's a wonder Dean can still breathe. He inhales. "Cause then you wouldn't kiss me. You wouldn't kiss me. I wouldn't want you to kiss me."
Cas does anyway. The darkness doesn't come.
There’s an archangel in Dean’s head and strangers from another universe in his house. His kid is sick, his mother is young and aloof, and to make matters worse, his best friend is keeping secrets. Again. Only this time, Dean finds out about Castiel's deal with the Empty, and he's got a pretty solid idea about what (or who) might trigger it. Knowing full well Cas must stay miserable to stay alive, Dean makes his move.
This is the way they can have each other. No matter how much it hurts.
