Summary
It was 1419, sixteen had passed since the Siege of Suchdol, and Bohemia sat on a knife’s edge.
When friend and foe stood on both sides of a battlefield, there was no such thing as neutrality in war.
Or the one where Hanush had been right. Hans’ importance had only grown over the years. The only issue was that sometimes he felt he was not enough of a man to fill his own shoes.

Summary
Hans' nimble fingers settle beneath Henry's jaw line, beckoning him closer with a touch that is both teasing yet fond, but most of all wickedly irresistible. It suffices to twist Henry's mind into a knot, following his lord's silent order without question.
On a lazy morning, Henry desecrates and worships Hans.

Summary
"Go on already," Hans rasps, wrecked with overstimulation, "before I regret this."
Alas, his lord's voice fails to inspire obedience in Henry, the jitter and high pitch it bears too delectable to focus on behaving. Besides, he knows that Hans doesn't mean the words, that they are merely a shield that bears the crests of impatience and vulnerability. Henry obliges nevertheless, shifts backwards to allow himself access to what lies between Hans' legs.
Hans and Henry share one of their many first times.

Summary
Hans Capon has no shortage of enemies who threaten his greatest secret. Will his undoing be a meddling uncle, a bride who knows too much, or the Royal Chamberlain with his clever schemes?
Leaving the ashes of Suchdol behind, Hans and Henry ride east—eager to outrun duty, wedding bells, and perhaps even Lady Fortuna herself.
But a trail of stolen silver and a missing horse soon drag them back into a war that refuses to end, even without a king on the throne.
How long can Hans and Hal keep their love hidden? And when it comes to light—will it be enough to hold them together, or will the world tear them apart?
This fic follows Lord of the Distant Isles but can be read on its own. Updates Sundays (or Mondays) and Fridays.
