Summary
After Verity bares witness to Mob's suicide, he's suddenly transported weeks into the past, to a time when he and Mob were still friends...And a time when Twixxel still lives.
Now given the chance to rewrite all his wrongs, Verity enthusiastically grabs at this opportunity, doing all he possibly can to prevent that past reality from repeating itself.
Can he really do it? Or is it all just an inevitable time loop?...Mob, on the other hand, just thinks Verity has suddenly gone a tad bit crazy.

Summary
When he opened his eyes, Verity was leaning over him, lowering himself until their eyes were nearly level, though Mob still had to look up to meet his gaze. There was a red glint dancing behind the obsidian black of his eyes, predatory and hungry.
"Why are you trying to leave me?" Verity asked, his voice low, curious.
Mob kept his eyes fixed on his, his breathing short and shallow. He tried to stay calm.
"Verity, let me go."
"You said you came back for me," Verity continued as if he hadn't said anything. "Why are you trying to leave me again?"
Mob tried to wrench his wrist free, but the grip only dug deeper into his flesh, in a way Mob knew would leave bruises. His eyes narrowed at the sharp flare of pain.
"Verity... you're hurting me."

The gun’s trembling barrel stares him down.
Verity’s seen this turn of events before. Actually, it’s more fitting to say that he’s never seen a turn of events that hasn’t ended up exactly like this.
“Do it,” he demands.
***In which Mob survives the gunshot, and Verity is the most patient best friend a person could ever ask for.
He'll make this right. He'll do whatever it takes to make sure that Mob never, ever leaves his side again.
