"Show me," he breathed, his voice thick with command and something darker, richer – desire barely leashed. His eyes never wavered from hers. "Show me how much you wish it was me touching you."
Belly trembled violently under his touch and his gaze. Shame warred with the desperate arousal that surged back, hot and insistent like molten lava beneath her skin. His large hand on her shin was an anchor point, a claim staked on her flesh. The weight of it, the possessive warmth, was simultaneously comforting and overwhelming.
"Conrad..." she whimpered, her voice thick with tears and burgeoning desire. It was a plea for mercy and an invitation wrapped into one ragged sound.
"Your fiancé isn't here," he stated flatly, his thumb pressing harder into the muscle of her shin for emphasis, sending another spark through her system. He leaned even closer in the chair, his breath warm against her cheek as he spoke lowly into the space between them. "He's miles away." His voice held a razor's edge now. "Broken down on some highway." A pause laden with contempt. "Never showing up when you truly need someone." He enunciated each word clearly. "I'm here." His eyes blazed into hers. "Show me who you belong to tonight."
