Summary
“You doing all right?” Daniel asks him.
Armand blinks. “No,” he says.
“Most honest you've been with me since I got here,” Daniel says. And then, because it seems like the thing to do, “I can clear out, if you need the place to yourself.”
“Whatever you prefer.” Armand's lips look chapped. Dehydration? He ate the kid with the sunglasses, but the smear he left took a lot of bleach to scrub away. Maybe Daniel should - “You won't be harmed,” Armand says, “regardless of your decision.”
“You got served divorce papers so hard it left a crater,” Daniel says, “and you're still poking around in people's heads.”

Summary
Daniel groans and covers his eyes with the heels of his hands. “Fuck. I didn’t mean for it to happen like that.”
“Like…that?” Armand repeats.
“Yeah. Aw, man!” Daniel groans again.
“But you did mean for it to happen?”
“What?” Daniel lowers his hands and looks at Armand.
“You meant to kiss me.”
In which Armand and Daniel’s first kiss doesn’t go how Daniel had imagined it.

Summary
Louis shakes his head. “And now he's got you stepping on him.”
Daniel picks his drink up and necks the last half of it. “I have not,” he says, “stepped on him, as of yet.”
“But you want to.”
“I think so?” Daniel puts the empty glass back on the table and scoots it out of their immediate limb radius. “I think I could want to. I want to want to.”
“There you go,” Louis says, “tell him that. That'll set the mood.”

Summary
The briefing was simple: ‘Stand guard over the Michael Sword until the battle is ready to commence. Await further instructions.’
Castiel doesn’t mind working security duty; he was briefed shortly after the initial salvation of the Sword from the pit, and again before taking up his position. He knows what to do. However, it’s easy to forget that the green room isn’t real. Time moves differently there, the space ever-changing to make a prison of mountains, cathedrals, salt flats, orchards, and whatever Castiel was led to believe about Heaven’s greatest weapon—Dean Winchester is something entirely unexpected.

Summary
Billy’s hands flex by his sides, looking around the empty control room and into the empty studio in front of them. "Mind if I have a listen?"
Yes, she thinks. Billy doesn't get priority access to her most personal thoughts anymore. If he wants to know how she's doing, he can wait and pick up a record like everybody else.

Summary
“I don’t know how to…”
He can’t finish the thought. He doesn’t have to. She knows. They lean into each other, curving around each other, holding each other up. He clutches at the material of her coat and makes a ragged noise, a miserable, stricken sound that reaches deep into her chest as if it intends to wrench her heart out in a bloody handful.
She stops it with her own mouth.
Or: Teddy is dead, Billy is spiralling, and Daisy is still terrible at impulse control.
