You see, it is all very sudden and unexpected. When they parted ways after fifth year, Moony was just good old Moony. Soft, warm, a little tattered around the edges; smelling of old books, chocolate, and a light wolfish undertone that Sirius has only been able to pick up on since Padfoot came around. Moony with his comfy, oversized jumpers, his cardigans, of all things (really, what teenage boy wears cardigans?), his common sense, dry wit, and secret wicked humour.

Summary
“Hello?” Sirius said with a mixture of concern and insult.
Remus blinked. He might not know much about making friends, but he knows this is not how one usually does it. “Um, hi,” he answered in his best English accent.
“May I help you?” Sirius said tactfully. He still hadn’t moved.
Might as well bite the bullet. “Are you Sirius Black?”
Sirius’ eyes widened, but he was able to maintain his nonchalance. “Maybe.”
Remus inhaled, trying to summon confidence. “My name is Remus Lupin, and I think we should be friends.”
AU in which Remus goes to Beauxbatons instead of Hogwarts. Remus needs to be Sirius’ friend, Sirius hates ABBA, and James is too smart for his own good.
