Anakin guesses initially it's some desert rodent, some twitching, half-sentient thing that wandered in to die. Its coat is light brown, nearly reddish, ears long and flapping, body curled tight into the fabric. A strange animal, something he's never encountered in the wastes, yet it seems just a tad familiar. Its chest rises and falls shallowly, a faint wheeze cutting each intake of air.
Alongside it, hidden in the folds of the robe, is something Anakin recognizes instantly. A lightsaber. He's marveled at Jedi weapons many times, as they are but a work of art.

Summary
Krampusnacht is a tradition in several countries in Europe where people tend to dress up as the mythical figure himself. Imbibing in Alcohol, brandishing their own homemade whips, and of course terrifying the local naughty children.
Ethan is more or less used to the concept after living in Germany for the past several years, but it more than a little surprised when one figure gets a little too close to his rather remote cabin.
This is just an excuse to write Krampus Karl based on a drawing by Alien-Rat that is currently haunting me.
