Summary
“Am I to assume we will meet again, then?” Nikolai asked then, eyes shining in the same young curiosity they had prior. He so dearly wanted to say, to plea, “Please, please, meet me again, for I am so taken in by you. I do not know what to do if you leave. Come back.” Yet, words like that seemed foreign to say out loud, as if it was in another language Nikolai had not learned yet.
“We will, here and elsewhere. This meeting was no coincidence, and neither will any of our future ones be,” Fyodor said, gazing deep into Nikolai’s eyes. Those words were genuine and full of unspoken promises that Nikolai beamed, excitement returning to his feeble heart. Then, Fyodor arose from his seated position and stepped toward the door. Without any other words, he left the shack, the cold wind howling through the night sky.
He had trusted fate to bring them back together.
Or, Nikolai was a broken boy until he met Fyodor.

Summary
Nikolai knew of the Hanahaki Disease; a victim in one of his missions had suffered from it. Back then, Fyodor had calmly explained the concept of such a disease. It came from unrequited love and, although rare, could lead to death if not handled properly. Such an illness brought up an irony Nikolai couldn’t help but laugh at. Those immense feelings he harbored for the other were love? Wasn’t the solution easy then, and shouldn’t he just perform the act of killing he had desired already?
Hanahaki is a disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only; strong friendship is not enough) or the victim dies. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear.

Summary
Another person was sitting not far from him, focused on the work on their desk before they turned around, smiling as they said, “You woke up, I’m glad.” At that, Verlaine froze instantly. How could it be? The person he was practically living for, the person he had been missing for years after their disappearance, now stood in front of him.
Arthur Rimbaud was alive, breathing—and around nine years younger than when Verlaine last saw him six years before.
Or, Verlaine accidentally gets sent back in time.

Summary
“I can pose an agreement. How about,” he dipped Nikolai slightly, faces closer than before, “we marry each other. In this case, I can grant you the freedom you so dearly desire.” Instead of pulling away, Nikolai stared Fyodor directly into his eyes, the two of them panting due to the amount of dancing they had done prior. “An agreement benefits both parties. How will I be of help to you? Besides, how can I believe you to grant me my wish? In the end, I’m still bound by the marriage.”
Not looking away from the other’s eye, Fyodor replied, “Don’t worry, I’ll be able to put you to good use if needed. For the second question, you just have to trust me.” That seemed to have done the trick as Nikolai laughed the tiniest bit anew. “I accept,” Nikolai replied, mimicking Fyodor’s tone from before.
Or, Fyodor, a prince, got engaged to another prince, Nikolai.

Summary
Yet, Nikolai didn’t indicate any movement, only his eyes glinting with something akin to mischief. “Say, Fedya,” he began as Fyodor watched the way an idea bloomed in his head, “my hands are too bloody for me to do my hair. Would you do it instead?”
Or, Fyodor braiding Nikolai's hair.
