Alternate title: Why Can't We Give Ourselves Just One More Chance
Basically Remus Lupin is David Bowie, and Sirius Black is Freddie Mercury, along with the other members of marauders and marauders-era characters who make up the rest of Queen, both of their managers, and some other side characters.
This is a non-magic au, set in the late 70s and early 80s. It is heavily inspired by the real lives of David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, so be prepared for there to be explicit references to the HIV/AIDS crisis, and other drug and sex related things to do with the time period.
That being said, this isn't a play by play of their lives, it's just inspired by them and is mostly just my interpretation of what happened during the making of Under Pressure. Not all of the dates are correct, I'm sure there's other information that is also wrong, and I'm not British, nor was I a young adult in the 70s and 80s, so some of this stuff will be inaccurate, don't come after me.
This fic is a Christmas gift for my partner Azira and this is my first published fic so yay! Please enjoy!!!
