It's been more than 2 years since they all lost Jax.
They'd hoped at first that he might recover, with time. There'd never been an abstraction found so early, that had been allowed to live freely, that had been cared for this way, that had been spoken to.
But. He didn't.
Eventually, they all tried their best to sit with the grief, to let it fade, to heal. Try to move on to a new normal. Try and ignore the rabbit-shaped hole in their lives.
Nobody expected someone new to come and fill it.
