Daniel thought he would never see Max again, that their brief respite on the beach of Zandvoort is all the relief he would get from this season, which continues to prove to be just so god-damn horrible. Until, on the Marina Barrage Dam in Singapore, he spies a familiar figure in the distance. Perhaps, this is not the end of their story. Perhaps, Daniel can have this one good thing.

Daniel, a McLaren Formula One driver, feels hopeless with his current situation. The car just won't work for him, he can barely scrape into the points, and what's worse is that he's already hearing rumours around the factory that the team plan on cutting his contract short and replacing him.
Max is a siren with a broken songbox, meaning he cannot sing and catch any prey. He is forced to swim through the ocean alone without his siren pod and barely manages to fend for himself, condemned to a life of loneliness.
On the beach of Zandvoort, the two find solace in one another.
