Hermann would always metaphorically jump to prove Newton wrong. In his latest quest to do so, though, his annoying colleague stumbles across a notebook filled with things Gottlieb would rather not have the other read. Thankfully, he gets it away from Newton before he does, but when he starts reading it over himself, he's reminded of some things he would have preferred to not remember.

Hermann Gottlieb has not only played piano for most of his life, but the music helps him to concentrate on what equations await answering on his chalkboard. However, he first has to convince Pentecost to find him a piano, and what Pentecost has in mind is not what he's looking for, but it will have to do. Unfortunately, an unsolved equation quickly becomes the least of Gottlieb's problems.
