Summary
The Doctor has made himself mopey enough by the time he sees Jack at the bar that he goes up and sits next to him, common sense fleeing entirely. As a time traveller, he really should’ve learned to think about the consequences of his actions by now, but, well—some things will never change.
Now all he has to do is be completely unobtrusive and history will surely remain intact. “Hello! I’m the—er—I’m the very normal guy who was sitting at that table over there and now I’m here because I moved.”
Okay, he’s not doing this very well.
Or, the Doctor meets Jack at a bar and is a very normal, not-at-all-suspicious, charming and perfect individual who definitely plans to tell Jack who he is. Eventually.

Sirius eyed him with concern. Hesitant, he asked, “What are you doing up here?”
“I’m not hiding!” Harry retorted defensively, then shut his mouth, cursing himself. Sirius hadn’t said anything about hiding, making Harry’s response really more of a confession than an explanation. Unfortunately, Sirius seemed to have realized that as well, clearly suppressing a smile.
Still coping with the events of the Third Task, Harry is spending most of his time at Grimmauld Place holed up in a room with a Hippogriff. Sirius finds him there and offers him comfort and companionship.

No, no, if Todd starts thinking like that he’ll have to go with Dirk and his universe-assigned sixth sense on everything, and then they’ll both end up being seriously injured on a daily basis and die within the month.
Scratch that. Within the week.
When Dirk finds a flower on the agency's doormat, he is convinced that it's a case and becomes determined to solve it. Todd is more inclined to believe there's nothing to investigate--that is, until they hear about a recent increase in missing persons reports.

Some days Jack likes to pretend that the Doctor just doesn’t know he’s alive. That he’ll come back once he realizes, materialize immediately and sweep Jack right into another adventure, explain how he survived death twice. There will be smiles and apologies and hugs, and then everything will be normal again. Just the three of them, gallivanting around in a wooden box, saving the day and spinning through time until it feels like they are the universe and the universe is them, and like nothing can bring them down. The Doctor, Rose, and Jack. Rose, Jack, and the Doctor.
When Jack comes back to life on the Game Station, he's alone in a strange place with no idea where his friends are. Life goes on, but nothing feels the same.
