Though the room was quite dark, being lit only from a blue neon light bulb in his room due to the late hours norman found himself in, norman knew that they were watching him, like always. On the bathtub filled with warm water he sat washing away the remnants of the day, just like yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that. Trying to wash aways to no avail the repetition, the routine, the overwhelming fear, the lab coats, the syringes, the pills, the tests over and over and over again-
That's when he sees it
It's faint but once he spots it he can’t stop seeing it.A faint bruise on his forearm. He was cleansing and rinsing his body, trying to do something normally just for once. Now he is just staring at his arm.
