Summary
“Now, now,” Snufkin told himself. “It could be a coincidence…”
A coincidence, that a poem with the exact same title and opening lines as his own work had made its way to publication? Unlikely.
Snufkin didn’t have his original copy to compare the stolen poem against. He only enjoyed writing poetry. Afterwards, he never really wanted to revisit it or share it. He just left the old notebook behind somewhere and procured a new one, ready to start again.
There was no denying the familiarity, though. After hearing it in Moominpappa’s voice, he couldn’t remember when or where he penned it, but the work was certainly his.
That didn’t solve the issue of how this De Hemulton fellow had come to claim it as his own, or why.

“I’m obsessive about everything,” Neil protests, sitting in a booth with the four upperclassmen he can stand. “What makes this obsession special?”
“Okay, we get the Exy obsession, because you’re legitimately planning on going pro, and we get the Kevin obsession because he’s dedicated to teaching you to go pro, and we even get the Minyard obsession,” Dan says.
“Shh,” Neil pleads desperately, hoping beyond hope that nobody heard that.
“But the podcast has nothing to do with Exy! It’s half about music, and you don’t even like music that much,” Dan says. “It’s literally just music and a really weird guy talking about his homicidal impulses, and it sorta sounds like a joke, but on a much more real level it sounds like it’s absolutely not a joke and I would call the authorities if this guy gave any personal details at all,” Dan says.
“It’s mostly a joke,” Neil offers, but it sounds weak to his own ears.

Summary
After surviving the bathroom, all Adam wants is to repress whatever he has to and get on with his life. Lawrence makes this difficult.
“Do you know,” Lawrence says, “What happened to the original Saint Laurence?”
“No?” Adam says, not sure where this is going. They pull up at a set of traffic lights and the red glow of them makes Lawrence look suddenly demonic.
“He was roasted on a gridiron over hot coals,” Lawrence says. “There’s a legend that halfway through he called one of his persecutors over and whispered something in his ear.”
“What was it?”
Lawrence looks over at him and grins, showing off his perfect white teeth. “I’m done on this side. Turn me over.”
Adam wrinkles up his nose. “Cute.”

Summary
