Maybe c00lkidd is dying. Is this what dying feels like? He can’t recall eating any sand, though, and he doesn’t think people can die for no reason. That’d be pretty silly. You have to get hit by a car or stabbed by a sword or attacked by a bear to die.
“You aren’t dying,” his voice snips. “Shut up about that. I’m just—I’m like a ghost, okay? You know what ghosts are?”
Yes. He knows what ghosts are. He’s seen them on TV, a few times.
“That’s me. I’m a ghost, and I’m haunting you right now, okay? You aren’t dying.”
Oh. Okay.
c00lkidd is seven years old when he is possessed for the first time. By who, he doesn't know—but it keeps happening, again, and again, and again. What starts as harmless (but slightly disorienting) devolves into something much darker when the voice's thoughts begin bleeding into c00lkidd's own.
