Summary
Nolan's met what feels like a ton of people since him and Kev moved out here, and he barely remembers their faces, despite every single one of them telling Kevin their whole life stories while Nolan sat back and scowled.
He remembers TK though: how he'd somehow taught Nolan how to use an axe without making him feel stupid, how he'd said "I like your shirt," and made Nolan feel nervous, and the exact way he'd said, "I need a little ponytail like you," so sincere it was, like, weird.
He had recognized TK's black truck pulling into the driveway, even before TK bounced out and started yelling about goats.
Temporarily on hiatus due to life being overwhelming.

There’s orange juice in his stupid goatee. He’d get Nolan’s face wet if he kissed him right now, probably feel cold and scratchy against Nolan’s chin, smell like sour sweat if he got his arms up around Nolan’s shoulders, a little bleachy still, probably, from the load Nolan pumped into the terrible little patch of chest hair between his nipples last night. He’s disgusting.
Nolan loves him.
The thought’s like a bruise. Something better left to poke at later, press down on, see if it hurts.

Nolan is aware that he's being weird. He's super self aware about that. He just doesn't know how to stop doing it.
TK slapped him on the back after a win against the Pens yesterday, half stripped down before his shower, the exact same slap he's given Nolan a hundred times before. And Nolan's balls had fucking pulsed. Just from that, a slap that sort of vaguely stung and was not at all sexy, in a room that literally smelled like years of Claude Giroux's ass sweat.
So Nolan's being weird. Sue him.

“Be still,” he says.
TK freezes. When Ivan looks up, his eyes are wide but he’s not moving. Or talking. Ivan frowns.
“Feeling okay?”
TK’s mouth works briefly before he finds words. “I—yep. Great. Wonderful. Peachy, even. You could say—”
“Oh my god shut up,” Ivan says, and TK’s mouth snaps closed.

So, picture this; They’re in a hotel room with only four remotes, so they’re all taking shifts, and Nolan’s leaning back against the headboard, letting the pillows cushion his back while he watches the screen, and then Travis slips beside him.
His skin is hot and tanned against Nolan’s pale, cool skin. The difference freaks him out a little because, Jesus, how does TK tan so perfectly. But then Travis is talking about something Lawson said to him so he clicks in and starts paying attention.
