Morgan isn’t what Spencer expected him to be.
He’s big and tough and the type of too strong that looks like he’s got something to prove.
Spencer looks at him and sees the guys he used to try to avoid in college, the guys with sports scholarships, the guys more interested in kissing girls and sampling exciting new drugs than actually, god forbid, learning something.
And well, college isn’t exactly like high school so it’s not like those guys would have given Spencer actual shit, but they also wouldn’t have ever genuinely cared about him because they wouldn’t have been able to think of him as anything resembling an equal. He would’ve been the study guide guy, the cute little nerd, the mascot. Never a friend - never anything more. Spencer didn’t need that in his life then, and he doesn’t need it now.
